Office of the Continuing Education Fund (OCEF) has received a number of public enquiries on whether certain memory enhancement / training courses or memory training courses cum a recognized CEF course are eligible for subsidy under the CEF.

We take the opportunity to clarify that only courses on the Reimbursable Course List and in relation to the following sectors are recognized: business services, logistics, tourism, financial services, design, languages, creative industries and interpersonal and intrapersonal skills for the workplace. Training on memory enhancement is not reimbursable under the CEF.

We also wish to point out that any CEF courses which have been modified in terms of contact hours and/or course content without seeking proper approval from the Education and Manpower Bureau will not be reimbursable. Please report any malpractices which you have spotted to OCEF at its email address cef@sfaa.gov.hk.
