Non-means-tested Loan Scheme [for full-time tertiary students who are covered under the Tertiary Student Finance Scheme – Publicly-funded Programmes (TSFS)]
- For Continuing Students:
10 weeks before the payment due date of the first installment of tuition fees of your institution
(e.g. If the payment due date of the first instalment of
tuition fees of your institution falls on 12 August 2011, the application deadline will be on 3 June 2011.)

- For operational reasons, individual institution may set an earlier (or later) deadline for the receipt of applications from their students. Applicants are required to take note of the announcement made by individual institution.
- Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted save in exceptional circumstances. All applications made after the specified application deadline will be regarded as late applications. Any late application must be accompanied by written justification(s) provided by the applicant and supported by the institution concerned and should be submitted to the Agency through the applicants' institutions. All late applications will only be considered on individual merits.
- If you attend a postgraduate course that commences between March 2011 and February 2012, you should apply for the NLS loan for the 2011/12 academic year. The deadline for application is one month following the commencement of the course and in any case not later than 31 March 2012.
Non-means-tested Loan Scheme for Post-secondary Student [for full-time students who are covered under the Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP)]
For continuing students:
Completed applications should reach the Agency on or before
31 May 2011.
For new students or students pursuing newly locally-accredited programmes in the
2011/12 academic year:
Completed applications should reach the Agency either
within one calendar month from the commencement date of your programme or
within one calendar month from the date of course accreditation, whichever is the latest.
