Sing Tao Foundation Students' Loan Fund
Brief History and Aim
The Fund, which was established in 1964, aims at assisting, by means of interest-free loans, worthy and needy students to pursue studies
recommended by the following schools / institutions :
- Secondary schools approved by the Education Bureau (Secondary 4 - 7 classes);
- Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education;
- Hong Kong Shue Yan University; and
- The 8 University Grants Committee - funded tertiary institutions, i.e.
City University of Hong Kong,
Hong Kong Baptist University,
Lingnan University,
The Chinese University of Hong Kong,
The Hong Kong Institute of Education,
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University,
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and
The University of Hong Kong

Eligibility Criteria
Local students undertaking full-time UGC-funded / publicly - funded courses who are in financial need and are studying at the above schools / colleges / institutions may apply.
Method of Application
| Category I | : | Emergency Loan
: Students of secondary schools, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education and Hong Kong Shue Yan University should apply through their respective schools/institutes/college. |
| Category II | : | Interest - free Loan
: Full - time UGC - funded Students of the 8 UGC-funded tertiary institutions should apply through their own Student Affairs Offices. |
