Brief History and Aim

The Fund, which was established in 1964, aims at assisting, by means of interest-free loans, worthy and needy students to pursue studies recommended by the 8 University Grants Committee-funded tertiary institutions, i.e.:-

* City University of Hong Kong,
* Hong Kong Baptist University,
* Lingnan University,
* The Chinese University of Hong Kong,
* The Hong Kong Institute of Education,
* The Hong Kong Polytechnic University,
* The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and
* The University of Hong Kong

Eligibility Criteria

Local students undertaking full-time UGC-funded / publicly-funded courses at the above institutions who face sudden adverse family circumstances and are in imminent financial need for emergency loan fund may apply for the interest-free Hong Kong Rotary Club Students' Loan Fund.

Method of Application

Full-time UGC-funded Students of the 8 UGC-funded tertiary institutions should apply through their own Student Affairs Offices. Application can be submitted throughout the year while funds are still available. Students should approach the Student Affairs Offices of their institutions for obtaining application forms and more details.
