Q1. When should I apply for the award?
Q2. I understand that the duration of award for scholarships is up to three years. Will special arrangement be available if I pursue a 4-year degree course, say in USA?
Q3. If I am currently pursuing a degree programme outside Hong Kong, am I still eligible to apply for the Fellowship / Scholarship awards?


1 Q: When should I apply for the award?
1 Ans: We will normally invite application in early July. However, you should note that application should be made one year in advance of the commencement of your studies.


2 Q: I understand that the duration of award for scholarships is up to three years. Will special arrangement be available if I pursue a 4-year degree course, say in USA?
2 Ans: For the fourth year of study, you may apply for an interest-free loan to continue your studies. However, the loan award is subject to a means-test and the Council's agreement.


3 Q: If I am currently pursuing a degree programme outside Hong Kong, am I still eligible to apply for the Fellowship / Scholarship awards?
3 Ans: We are sorry to tell you that applications from students who are pursuing a study programme overseas at the time of application; and application for a study programme being currently pursued will NOT be considered.
